More and more victims of Taal Volcano eruptions are being evacuated in the areas outside the 14-kilometers danger zone due to impending major eruption. According to Wikipedia, there are estimated number of 459,300 people are within the 14-kilometer radius with estimated number of evacuees of 10,000 families or with total 43,681 individuals.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology warned that the area was at risk of a volcanic tsunami, driven by the possibility that the volcano could generate extremely destructive waves in the area. The volcano is unique, being located on an island in the middle of the Taal Lake.
There is no definite time until when the victims will go back to their normal lives. They are accepting relief goods in the form of face masks, towels, bottled water, easy-open canned goods, cup noodles, biscuits, 3-in-1 coffee sachets, cleaning materials, blankets and mattresses and hygiene kits.
