PBB Otso Ultimate Big Winner

Proud of Yamyam as the Ultimate Big Winner 2019 of Pinoy Big Brother Otso. The “Iskulit Bai of Bohol” cannot believe with teary eyes upon hearing that he is the big winner who gained the greatest support from “taong bayan”. The grand opening of the stage shines the Precious Gold Cube while introducing Yamyam as the PBB Otso Ultimate Big Winner. He garnered a total text votes of 58.52% that is almost half of his counterpart.

William “Yamyam” Gucong took an audition at Star Hunt at the age of 24 years old. His natural comedic timing made him part to enter the Big Brother house. During the interview at the Star Hunt, he said that he wanted to join the PBB to feel “being rich for having fridge and aircon” with comedic laugh. He said that his biggest achievement is finishing the Senior High School even at old age. He serves as an inspiration to many Filipinos especially the youth that to aspire and work hard to make one’s dream…a reality.



As part of team LAYF from Batch 2, he survived different obstacles and hurdles given by Big Brother or Kuya. The love tandem “Lou and Andre” became the 3rd and 4th Placer respectively. His “Spiritual Brother” Fumiya who is the 5th Placer is with him at the Big Night Celebration. The Pinoy Big Brother 8 sealed the season with the last glimpse of the “Laugh Team” tandem with cries and priceless hugs of Fumiya to celebrate the winning moment.

The “Iskulit Bai of Bohol” received huge prizes amounting to a cheque of PHP 2 million pesos, a PHP 300 thousand vacation package, a water refilling station and a condominium unit. Next to him is the 2nd Ultimate Big Placer, Kiara from Batch 4 took the prize amounting to PHP 500 thousand pesos and a condominium unit. Lou and Andre received the prize amounting to a cheque worth PHP 300 thousand and PHP 200 thousand consecutively.




With a total of text votes cast during the program, the “taong bayan” spoke of their choice of who will be the Ultimate Big Winner. But during the voting period, a challenge was given by “Ultimate Kakochaba” of Big Bother, the King of Talk- Boy Abunda to do a fast talk and ask personal direct questions to help the voting public of their choice of who is truly deserving to be the Ultimate Big Winner. The questions consist of relations, love life situations, family and life opportunities.

2nd Ultimate Big Placer: Kiara (Batch 3) 30.29% final text votes
3rd Ultimate Big Winner: Lou (Batch 2) 8.28% final text votes
4th Ultimate Big Winner: Andre (Batch 2) 2.91% final text votes

In connection with this day Big Night Celebration is the announcement yesterday (3rd of August 2019) of the 5th to 8th Ultimate Big Placers who received the cheque worth of PHP 100 thousand. Here is the list of winners in consecutive order with combined average scores from ultimate challenge and cast votes:
5th Ultimate Big Placer Fumiya (Batch 2) 9.97% average score
6th Ultimate Big Placer Lie (Batch 1) 9.61% average score
7th Ultimate Big Placer Ashley (Batch 3) 9.16% average score
8th Ultimate Big Placer Kaori (Batch 1) 6.03% average score

The social media are flooded with congratulations to Yamyam as the hashtag #PBBUltim8BigWinner and #PBBCelebr8attheBigNight became number 1 trending topic worldwide on twitter for two (2) consecutive nights. Also, last night Big Brother surprised the Ultimate Big 4 with their parent who joined them on their dinner.



The Pinoy Big Brother Otso opens officially last 10th of November 2018. It is a 14th Overall Season that happened inside the most popular house in the Philippines. Many joined the audition but only few are lucky to be part of PBB Otso Edition. With 14 Years of Pinoy Big Brother in the Philippines in providing a “teleserye ng totoong buhay”, Big Brother take the opportunity for the people who supported the charity projects for Kapamilya Network all over the Philippines.

The Pinoy Big Brother Otso culminates for 2 consecutive nights on 3rd and 4th of August 2019 at AATF Sports Complex- Imus, Cavite.
