One afternoon after our teaching class, we decided to walk from Calle de Goya across the area of Tetuan to do the week-end Filipino grocery shopping. But walking a mile and nearly an hour, we felt so hungry that we bumped on one of authentic Filipino restaurants here in Madrid, the SnD Madrid Restaurant. It is located at Calle Juan de Olias 28 on line 1 at Metro Estrecho. The SnD Madrid Restaurant is a composite of simple but fascinating ambiance with wide area for family festivities and occasions. This place is truly an authentic not only with food but with people, a reflection of truly Pinoy! We ordered our favorite mixed pancit, lechon kawali, pork barbeque and bicol express. I grabbed straight away the “lechon kawali” then dipped it with soy sauce, vinegar and lemon…you can hear the crank of crispy skin once you made the first bite. Aerobus is much cheaper compared to hire taxi at around 5.90 Euro one way trip and can be book from their website. Aerobus is serving from the airport Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 to Plaça de Catalunya and vice versa.
