If you are travelling abroad or moving to another country like tourist, study and migration then you must secure good conduct certificate before leaving Kuwait. Currently, there is no online application or appointment so you must personally visit their office.
Before acquiring Good Conduct Certificate, you must ensure the below documents
- Latest blue background colored photo
- Passport copy
- Kuwait Civil ID copy (bring original copy for police verification)
- Letter from Embassy*
*Please be noted that you must contact directly the embassy of your destination country. For example, if you are migrating or studying to Canada, then you must contact Canadian Embassy in Kuwait to request your letter to be addressed to Ministry of Interior Kuwait. If you are individual acquiring Good Conduct Certificate, you should obtain request letter from your local sponsor.
After compiling all the required documents, proceed personally to General Department of Criminal Evidence located at Ministry of Interior, Al Dajeej, Farwaniya, Kuwait in front of Kuwait Airways.
Do not enter the main door of Ministry of Interior, on your left-hand side when facing MOI, enter the first small door. Office timings is from Sunday to Thursday 8:00 am till 2:00 pm.
Present all your documents to the receptionist to evaluate your documents and he will give your claim stub. There is no numbering system just wait for your turn to be called. Police officer will request your original Civil ID or Passport to check your record on their database. After verification, the officer will perform biometric collection such as fingerprints and photo. After 1 week return to the same location to collect your original Good Conduct Certificate. Don’t forget to bring the claim stub which is written in Arabic.
Kuwait Good Conduct Certificate is valid up to 3 months only.
