David Archuleta is American singer, songwriter and actor. He was born on December 28, 1990 in Miami, Florida. At the age of 10 he won the children’s division of Utah Talent Competition, at the age of 12 he became the Junior Vocal Champion of Star Search 2. After Star Search competition, he had partial vocal paralysis but declined to undergo surgery. He almost gave up his singing career but in the year 2007 when he was sixteen years old, he tried to audition in American Idol Season 7 held at San Diego, California. At the end of the competition on May 21, 2008, he became runner up of David Cook.
He already released 8 studio albums namely;
1) David Archuleta in 2008, self-titled album. The carrier single “Crush” peaked at No. 2 in Billboard Hot 100.
2) Christmas from the Heart in 2009, first Christmas album.
3) The Other Side of Down in 2010, third studio album.
4) Forevermore in 2012, exclusive album for his Filipino fans and gold certified. He recorded the album while he was taping the soap opera “Nandito Ako”.
5) Begin in 2012, album released after he went for a 2-year mission in Chile for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
6) No Matter How Far in 2013, unreleased songs, and compiled songs from Other Side of Down Asian Tour Edition and 2 songs from Forevermore album. Exclusively released in USA.
7) Postcards in the Sky in 2017, debuted in the Philippines while on his concert tour at KIA Theatre on October 20, 2017. It is a compilation of his EP’s Orion and Leo plus new songs.
8) Winter in the Air in 2018, second Christmas album.
His latest music video titled “Postcards in the Sky” was released on March 23, 2019, 2 years after the initial released of the same titled album “Postcards in the Sky”.
Currently, David Archuleta is busy on his concert tours in different cities across United States of America.
