United Arab Emirates is my 5th country/territory to visit around the world and Hatta is my 240th places to discover and explore.
Some people may not know that Hatta is part of Emirates of Dubai although it is 134km away from Dubai City and it is bordering to Oman. For the first timer visitor like me, I am much dependent on GPS but sometimes GPS could lead you into wrong way. From what I experienced the GPS instructed me to go straight to E44 however, the immigration officer asked me to make u turn. Although if you will check in the map E44 will go straight to Hatta but you need to pass to Oman territory. So I rerouted from E44 headed north to E55 and then turn to E102 and finally I reached my destination.
Hatta’s main economy is tourism and Hatta Dam is one of the popular destination which was built in 1990 to supply water and electricity. Inside the Dam there is Hatta Kayak where guest can experience Kayaking activity. Make sure to pass to toilet before going to Hatta Dam because there is no comfort room in the area and you need to drive around 2 kilometers back to Hatta Municipality.
